The hottest topic today is green energy. Everybody talking about it. We’re told about how important it is for our future, and that’s kind of vague. What does this really mean for us anyways?
Maybe you’ve read in the newspapers or online, or even seen on TV how the cars of the future are going to be hydrogen and electric based, they’re not going to run on gasoline anymore. If we keep using our regular fuel for our cars, like we do today, this will eventually cause a lot of damage to the planet. Even more importantly, oil will eventually run out if we keep using it. What will we able to do then?
I hope that everything will work out OK because by that time we’ll have changed to a more sustainable model. There’s a long way to go before we get to that point though. The first thing that we need to do is to move all of our current vehicle fleet over to either electric cars or hydrogen cars. We need tons of infrastructure that just doesn’t exist right now to do this though, except for Japan. They have a nice electric grid and have added hydrogen fueling stations to their regular gas stations.
You can help all by yourself though, even if you’re not a powerful country with billions of dollars. And helping doesn’t just benefit the environment, it can help save you money too! Probably the best way that I’ve seen is to install your own electricity generator. Sounds, crazy huh? Well it kind of is, but luckily it’s very easy. If you install your own generator, you will be able to get your own power supply off of the grid and save tons of money over the long term. You can even make some money yourself by reselling it back to the power company. How cool is that?
